Aurora Painting & Decorating is not a production painting company. We paint and restore the Bay Area’s finest homes: Victorians, Craftsmans, brown shingles, and landmarks by Bernard Maybeck, Julia Morgan, and John Hudson Thomas. Many of our clients have lived through a production paint job. They found us because they wanted the opposite.

Why Aurora

The history. Founded in 1987. The same California contractor license, #721226, has carried the work since 1996, and Aurora incorporated in 2010. Decades of one standard, kept on some of the most demanding homes in the Bay Area.
The craft. Production painting is built for speed. Aurora is built for prep, the slow and careful work under the finish. It’s why so much of our calendar fills with repeat clients and the neighbors they send our way.
