Atherton homes are built and kept to a different standard, and the painting should match. Estate properties ask for more than a paint crew. They ask for discretion, scheduling around your household, coordination with designers, builders, and property managers, and finish quality that holds up to close inspection.
What working with Aurora looks like
- A clear scope and schedule before we start, kept as we go.
- Crews that respect the property: gardens protected, gates closed, site tidy every evening.
- Fine finishes inside and out, with hand prep where the detail deserves it.
- Comfortable working alongside your designer, architect, or estate manager.
- Direct communication with the owner, Carlo Vargas, throughout the project.
Craft that carries over
Aurora’s name is on two preservation awards (BAHA 2006, AAPS 2021), earned restoring the East Bay’s landmark homes. That’s the level of surface prep, color judgment, and detail work we bring to every estate we paint. Trusted with the Bay Area’s landmark homes since 1987, and careful with every one of them.
Inside the home, the same standard holds. Cabinetry refinishing, trim enamel work, and specialty finishes are where a fine interior earns its look, and where rushed work shows first. We take the time the detail deserves, and we keep the rest of the house clean while we do it.
The practical details
Aurora holds California Contractor License #721226 and is an EPA RRP Lead-Safe Certified Firm, which matters on any home built before 1978. Every job carries our 3-year workmanship warranty. We take a limited number of Peninsula projects, so the calendar is worth a conversation early.
